A New Season of Construction

Starting Monday morning, March 23, Oak Park Avenue construction expands to the central business district, so Oak Park Avenue will close from Randolph to Lake Street. We’re entering Stage 2 (out of 5) for this 10-month project, which means new detours.

Here is a new FastMap to maintain your ‘equinox equilibrium’ as you drive around (and Happy Spring!).

East-west traffic should not be affected by the expanded construction zone. Lake Street, North Boulevard and South Boulevard all remain open across Oak Park Avenue.
Enjoy sidewalk access to Hemingway District businesses. They’re all open and just steps from free 90-minute parking every day (and all day Sunday) at the Avenue Garage, 720 North Blvd.
