Sewer main and service installations will wrap up this week on Oak Park Avenue with water main installation beginning next week on North and South Boulevards, so construction work is undergoing some planned overlapping. For drivers, this means:
Watch for flaggers on east-west streets in the construction zone. North and South Boulevards will narrow to single-lane traffic during construction hours.
Temporary light poles are going up over new electrical foundations, but never fear: the current poles being raised will only be in place until new, elegant, and more historically appropriate light poles arrive in October.
