PROJECT UPDATES

Road blocks and thru-traffic detours are now in effect, but local traffic should still flow smoothly:

Oak Park Avenue construction began yesterday (Feb. 4). Two one-block sections of Oak Park Avenue have been closed (see map).

Local traffic access remains open. You can drive on and across Oak Park Avenue from Pleasant Street to Lake Street, including North and South boulevards.

Street parking may be limited along North Boulevard over the next several weeks due to NICOR trucks and equipment upgrading gas service and lines in that area.

There’s no construction and plenty of parking! Make a reservation, order cupcakes, and shop for that special something. Everyone (especially those who have a love lock on the Oak Park Avenue underpass) is invited to the District’s Tokens of Love event from 11 am – 1 pm on Saturday, Feb. 14.
