Starting Friday, June 12 (tomorrow!) after 4 pm, two important blocks of Oak Park Avenue will reopen to traffic – a key milestone that marks construction progress moving into Stage 3 of 5. Oak Park Avenue between Ontario to Lake and Randolph to Pleasant streets will be open, but street parking will remain closed on those blocks to allow for landscape restoration next week. Please see this updated traffic flow map. Street parking in these areas will return in a few weeks once landscaping has been completed. Hemingway District offers 150 spaces for cyclists! You know you want to: yes, this is the perfect time of year to bike to local businesses! This map shows you all rack spaces and areas available. And keep in mind that 24 secure, monitored rack spaces are located inside the Avenue Garage. (If you choose to drive instead, the Garage offers free parking all day Sunday and 90 minutes free Monday–Saturday).
