What Lies Beneath

The six-week ‘head start’ of this project back in February has helped construction crews and our utility partners create timely workarounds as occasional underground surprises reveal themselves.

NICOR wrapped up its digging for gas service upgrades along North Boulevard on time at the end of March, as other utility partners have jumped in to help address some known, and unknown, conflicts with the proposed improvements.
Normal traffic light patterns and crosswalk activity have resumed at Pleasant Street and Oak Park Avenue. The south crew continues northward at great speed and should complete the sewer main installation between Pleasant and South Blvd this week. Onward!
