Spilt Milk

Meg and Molly Svec
811 South Blvd.

Entering Spilt Milk Pastry, you’re greeted by brightly colored walls and a display case full of sweet and savory treats. Run by sisters Meg and Molly Svec, the shop welcomes customers to sit and enjoy a brown sugar latte made with Metric espresso or a slice of their famous heirloom apple pie.

Their first location (just around the corner on Oak Park Avenue) was a hole in the wall. Now at 811 South Boulevard, Spilt Milk has room for customers to sit and gather, plus new kitchen equipment—like a pastry sheeter, which allows them to make laminated pastries such as croissants.

Meg and Molly have expanded their offerings to include a lunch menu (try the Ham, Butter & Gruyere Sandwich—it’s made with ham from a local farm, house-made pickles and European-style butter) and take-and-heat Friday Night Dinners.

As we prepare to Renew the Avenue in 2025, remember that you can get your Spilt Milk favorites in-store, or via delivery or catering.
