Construction Updates

Construction begins in January 2026 and is expected to be substantially complete by Thanksgiving 2026.

Stage 1

Week of January 19, 2026
Stage 1 construction work will begin along Oak Park Avenue with the installation of a new sewer main from Randolph Street to Pleasant Street and new sewer and water mains from Lake Street to Ontario Street, weather permitting.

Thru-traffic will be detoured on Oak Park Avenue at Chicago Avenue (southbound) and at Madison Street (northbound). Trucks will be detoured to Harlem Avenue.

Local traffic and vehicular access to Hemingway Business District will be maintained during Stage 1.
